The concept of RSS has always appealed, but I have never been able to successfully integrate the process of using RSS into my daily workflow.
In the past I researched and found many different freeware newsreader programs that I could use from home. I selected the best and tried to set it up at work only to find that the firewall prevented me from setting up feeds. I tried an alternative, using a web-based reader, and this worked fine. But this brings it back to workflow issue - I dont want to have to log in to a website to view my newsfeeds! I want software, or a web browser which has RSS capabilities. I want pop-ups on my screen to alert me about new items. I want, I want, I want.

Thing 26 - Widgets
Widgets are great. I once had the wireless signal widget, a chucky doll, a digital clock and a few other random items on my desktop. The widgets have since been removed, but components of my konfabulator software remain...
I have had a quick scan through the yourminis site. Lots of interesting applications that I might try out from home.
